Another practice exercise with watercolor techniques. I first de-pixelated the photo in Topaz Studio with a series of layers I use to give a general painterly feel but keep the details of the image.
I put the image on a few layers of textured background of old paper in different blend modes and added the different watercolor brush strokes over the top. I then added the tree and leave embellishments along with the cut paper.
